Organic Green Clay Mask for Normal to Oily skin. Works wonders for acne breakouts.

Ingredients:

French Green Clay: Like many other clays, French green clay is extracted from the ground, where is has been for thousands of years. During that time, it has absorbed minerals such as calcium, iron, magnesium, silica and sodium, as well as trace elements. The clay is dried in the sun, adding the power of solar energy, which in turn activates the minerals. This rich clay is commonly referred to as French green clay, although it is found in other parts of the world as well, including China and some parts of the USA. However, since it was originally found in France and the majority of it still comes from there, the term French green clay is still widely used. Some of the benefits of a green clay face mask for both women and men include:

• may reduce the number of acne breakouts

• draws impurities from the outer layer of the skin

• removes dead skin cells

• stimulates blood flow

• gives the skin a smooth feel and appearance

• can be used as a spot treatment on pimples

Papaya Leaf (Carica papaya): The papaya is an amazingly rich source of the proteolytic enzymes. These are the chemicals that enable the digestion of protein. Many experts have claimed rejuvenating properties for papaya, especially for the control of premature aging. Papaya loses some of the enzymes as it ripens, so that is why we selected them green and dried. The papaya is an excellent source of vitamin C, with 82mg per 100g (4oz), and is rich in carotene. The skin of the papaya is a first class external treatment for skin wounds and places that do not heal quickly.

Kelp (Lasminaria digitata): If you've ever touched seaweed that washed up on the beach, chances are you noticed its slippery texture. The gelatinous quality of this sea plant makes it an ideal ingredient for skin care products, as it protects and adds shine to skin. In fact, many marine plants—from tiny algae to giant kelp—provide nourishment and protection when applied to the body. "Algae are some of the most nutrient-rich life forms in nature, which is why they're present in so many cosmetics," says Ben Fuchs, cosmetic formulator for Rocky Mountain Natural Labs in Boulder, Colorado. "They're full of minerals that can help draw toxins from the skin." Knowing about marine herb properties will help you understand their purpose in body care products. In cellulite creams, algae helps draw out impurities and temporarily "tightens" the skin. This firming ability is also an asset in this facial mask. Kelp in this mask heals, hydrates, detoxifies, and re-mineralizes the skin. Kelp Sea algae provides: Chlorophyll: helps detoxify

Essential fatty acids: improve skin elasticity. Carbohydrates: stimulate the skin's ability to heal.

Vitamin A: an antioxidant, normalizes skin cells and Protein/amino acids: building blocks of cells, skin conditioners.

Because this is a dry powder mask (where you will need to mix in water) this 8oz jar will last a long time…
